CR2C2 Hosts 50 Interns for Troy's Honorary Intern Social (THIS) Event
CR2C2 had the pleasure of hosting 50 summer interns as part of Troy's Honorary Intern Social (THIS) program, organized by the North Carolina Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (NCSITE). The event took place at our transportation facility and offered an engaging forum for interns to explore cutting-edge transportation technologies, with a particular focus on autonomous vehicles. Discussions covered the promises, barriers, and constraints of these technologies in shaping the future of transportation.
THIS was established to honor the legacy of Troy Peoples, a trailblazer in traffic engineering in North Carolina. Troy spent over 33 years with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and 15 additional years in consulting. Known for his dedication to traffic engineering, ITE, and mentoring young engineers, this event reflects his passion for the industry and the next generation of professionals.
