Warning System using a Connected Vehicle On-board Unit 

This tool is a driver warning system for highway curves.  As a driver approaches a curve, an on-board edge computing device monitors positional information provided by a C-2VX communication device that has and integrated GPS.  The edge computing device has a stored curve database that includes radius and superelevation information that was collected using novel methods.  A save advisory speed is calculated based on vehicle type and curve characteristics.  If the driver is driving too fast, a warning message will be displayed.
