CR2C2 team joined and supported the Florida–Puerto Rico District ITE Student Leadership Summit (SLS) 2026, hosted by the University of Central Florida (UCF) ITE Student Chapter on February 6–7, 2026, which brought together more than 60 attendees, including a large group of transportation students, faculty, and industry professionals from across the state of Florida. The event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and leadership development, helping to strengthen connections between academia and industry while inspiring the next generation of transportation professionals.
The summit featured distinguished speakers from both practice and academia, including Mr. John Tyler, FDOT District 5 Secretary; Mr. Steve Kuciemba, Executive Director & CEO of ITE; and Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aty, Pegasus Professor at UCF, highlighting real-world insights and emerging trends in transportation. The ITE FAU Student Chapter actively participated in the symposium by competing in the Traffic Bowl competition. Additionally, the ITE FAU delegation, under the guidance of its advisor, Dr. Evangelos I. Kaisar, Professor, Department Chair, and Executive Director of FMRI at FAU, further contributed to the event’s impact by engaging in discussions, fostering collaboration, and representing FAU within the broader professional community.
