CR2C2 supported the annual SAE Carolina Section Student Event held on March 20, 2026. The event was organized by the North Carolina A&T State University Mechanical Engineering Department in collaboration with the SAE Carolinas Section. Students showcased a range of projects, including SAE AutoDrive, Baja SAE, SAE Aero Design, and Aggie Auto.
The event brought together approximately 330 students from public and private universities across the Carolinas and Georgia. More than ten companies participated, including HondaJet and General Motors, among others.
Presentation competitions were organized across three tracks: Baja SAE, Formula SAE, and a combined “Others” category, which included Electric Vehicles, AutoDrive, and Aero Design. In addition, automated vehicles developed by CR2C2 researchers were showcased, engaging students in discussions on the development and deployment of autonomous vehicle technologies.
